Sounds like you spent a lot of time cooking. Seems all I've been eating is junk so a real meal sounds great!Jeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06582928041599976211noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7857312814488386478.post-1800640889831806352008-01-03T07:45:00.000-05:002008-01-03T07:45:00.000-05:00Hey Lisa, I'm just getting back to reading and cat...Hey Lisa, I'm just getting back to reading and catching up this week. We're starting school back on Monday, as well. I can't wait to get back to a "normal" routine. (If that's what normal is! (o:) I love the pictures of your meal. Looks soooo delicious! I know what you mean about putting something in the crock pot. I usually cook a ham in there all night, but it keeps waking us up smelling so good. I don't do that often.
I looked back at the pictures of your beautiful home too. You are very talented, and the Christmas decor is just gorgeous.
I would love to see some pictures of the projects your girls are working on sometime. I'm glad they're learning to sew. It seems to be a lost art these days. I tried to teach Alaina last summer, but she wasn't too interested yet. Maybe this year.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, and a blessed New Year ahead. Thank you for your continued prayers. It's been one month today, and it's still hard to believe he's gone.
Good luck and prayers for a great homeschool restart!
Blessings and hugs,
Karen
oops, sorry for the mini book I just wrote. :0DKarenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09538317661391712309noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7857312814488386478.post-14471505320615141132008-01-03T00:09:00.000-05:002008-01-03T00:09:00.000-05:00It all looks and sounds so very good! And I've seen quite a few bloggers having the same sort of wonderful feast!
We had a different New Years meal up here in the North Country--my daughters and I made two beef and Venison meatloafs with mushroom gravy, garlic smashed potatoes, and a big salad. For desert we made cheese cake, key lime pie, chocolate cream pie and chocolate chip cookies. We shared an evening of fun, food and games with our church family, grown-up kids and grandkids as we welcomed in the New Year!
A Very Happy and blessed New Year to you!
