Happy Summer

Hello everyone. I hope you all are having a great summer. I sure am enjoying the lazy days of Summer. My flowers are beautiful despite the heat. I stay busy weeding, pruning and a lot of watering and fighting off the Japanese beetles. I have tried several things to get rid of them but to no avail. Does anyone have a secret remedy? I would appreciate it. We have been taking advantage of our community pool this year. Some days we have it all to ourselves, so that is nice. But it is also a good place to meet new neighbors and friends.
We usually take our longest vacation in the spring. We do not like traveling to far in the hot weather. I love the mountains this time of year. One childhood memory of summers in NC is sleeping with the windows up because most people didn't have AC then but when you woke up it was this glorious cool feeling from the moist air(dew). It was awesome. We are greeted at the door here in the south with the feel of heat in the am.I hope to get to some cross stitching and try some new recipes this week.
I hope you have a Blessed and Beautiful day!
