Sweet Potato Custard Pie Recipe

SWEET POTATO CUSTARD PIE

4 to 5 medium Sweet Potatoes cooked and peeled

2 cups sugar

2 eggs

1/4 cup sweet Milk

1 Tablespoon Flour

2 sticks melted butter

1 teaspoon Vanilla flavoring

1 teaspoon Lemon flavoring

2 9 inch pie crusts

Mash the hot potatoes add sugar, butter and eggs, milk, flour and the flavorings.

Beat together with a mixer thoroughly, pour into pie crusts and bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes or until filling is set.

I made this for my family last night and thought I would share this version. I know there are lots of sweet potatoe recipes but this one sets up good for me and tastes good.I use extracts instead of flavorings in this and you can use splenda or brown sugar as a substitute. I use the Pillsbury roll out prepared crust but you can make your own.I have used this recipe for several years , My oldest daughter loves this one. My aunt who help teach me to cook submitted it to the ladys at my home church to add to their cookbook. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. I love this for breakfast with a cup of coffee yum :)

The fall nip is finally here to stay I believe. Maybe I can drink hot chocolate now without getting hot flashes! LOL. I hope you all have a great weekend. I'm in a cleaning mood and hubby's not home, who knows what he will be missing when he gets back lol. I did find his wedding band that he isn't allowed to wear at work and he thought he had lost it months ago at work and I found it this morning. God is good ^A^ I really love this blogging and making new blogger friends. Thank you all for stopping by and leaving the sweet comments. They mean so much. Take care.

Thank you for the pumpkin pie recipe...I'm not a big fan of it but my son loves it and I always try to make him some for the Holiday's! I would never think to eat it for breakfast...lol!

I find that when it is cooler weather a "hot" drink does not make me flash but if it is warm weather look out...global warming...lol!

So nice of you to stop by my blog, I hope we become fast friends!

Have a great day!

I forgot to mention. Although I have visited South Carolina I have been to North Carolina many times. I was interested to see that they are in such need of rain there.

Oh this looks so good! It reminds me of the one my grandma used to make. She added mini marshmallows on top of hers and broiled it lightly.
Hot chocolate is a favorite around here too, and I plan to make it this week with the cooler temps we're having.
I'm glad you found your sweetie's wedding band. I would be so sad if my hubby's was lost.
Blogging is a lot of fun, and I love the friendships we make on here. I count you as one of my friends!
Blessings and have a great week!
