I'm Praying for you!

I found these beautiful lyrics to this song that I don't think I have ever heard before and I thought I would add them to my post today.

For you I am praying, For you I am praying, For you I am praying, I’m praying for you.
I have a Father; to me He has given A hope for eternity, blessed and true; And soon He will call me to meet Him in heaven, But, oh, that He’d let me bring you with me, too!
I have a robe; ’Ti's resplendent in whiteness, Awaiting in glory my wondering view;Oh, when I receive it all shining in brightness, Dear friend, could I see you receiving one, too!
When He has found you, tell others the story, That my loving Savior is your Savior, too; Then pray that your Savior may bring them to glory, And prayer will be answered—’twas answered for you!
Speak of that Savior, that Father in heaven, That harp, crown, and robe which are waiting for you—That peace you possess, and that rest to be given, Still praying that Jesus may save them with you. Beautiful words!

I cannot tell you how many times in my life that prayer has helped me through situations whether it be personal or medical circumstances. The most recent was when I was in the OR holding area waiting to go into the OR for a hysterectomy. I was getting very anxious and although my dear husband was holding my hand. I just could not help but think what if something goes wrong and God calls me home today. I have eternal security. I am saved, I have no doubt where my soul will rest. I have to tell you I have praying friends and family and it was like the sweetest peace came over me and I felt like a secure child in here mother's womb. They had not given me the injections for pre Op- yet so I knew exactly what I was feeling, somebody was praying me through! If you have never experienced this it is truly a wonderful feeling. I think as a Christian my prayer life could always be better. I think the devil works hard to stop us from praying. Have you ever noticed when you are praying for someone, something will almost always try to distract you or at night in bed when I pray I just get so sleepy. I'm sure we all as Christians have experienced this and even at church distractions are all around us. I am going to try so hard to start focusing more on my prayer life and getting more health conscientious

so I am praying on my treadmill, Lord knows I need prayer to get on this tortuous machine. As I was looking up Bible verses for my devotions today I came across this highlighted verse.

1 Samuel -12:24 Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart; for consider how great things he hath done for you.

My Life verse, John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have every lasting life.

This my friend is what God did for you and me.I hope that your heart is where it needs to be with Lord so that you can pray someone through! .

I consider it an honor to pray for someone's needs, and feel very blessed when others pray for me.
It is so hard to find a time for prayer, but as Alaina's youth leader told them Sunday, you always manage to find time to get on the computer, play your games, etc. etc. etc. OUCH. That's why I'm pulling back on my computer time. I need to re-prioritize these days, and make sure I leave room for prayer.
Very timely and beautifully written post.
Blessings and hugs,
Karen

Had a similar experience. I put off having a hysterectomy for 10 years through fear. When I finally got to the point of believing God could see me through this I spent the hours previous to surgery calmly and peacefully writing to friends telling them about the victory i was experiencing as I waited for this new experience that God was taking me through.

I too love "I can only Imagine"
Thanks for your visit, Alan is getting better, just takes a little persuading though.

Prayer even while spoken from a Tredmill is conversation with the Father... and if we know that He hears us.. then we know He will answer........ Thanks for coming to my blog....... Lisa,
You are so right about our prayer times getting interrupted. I went to our basement to walk the treadmill today and prayed. I rarely get interrupted there, so it's an incentive to keep walking. :-)

Good Morning Lisa,
This is such a wonderful and touching post. "THANK YOU" for sharing it with us. It doesn't matter where we are at, as long as we pray. God hears our prayers from anywhere. I love the words to the song also. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Hugs,
Karen H.

Beautiful post, Lisa. I keep an ongoing prayer list and I try to pray for everyone on it at least once every day. It blesses me so!

Also, what a cute bunny! Is it yours?
