Happy 4th of July

We have been enjoying the summer here at" A Place to Land" Sleeping late and all the added bonus's of Summer vacation. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer as well.We were able to attend the Greer baptist camp meeting one night this week and we enjoyed the service and message by Evangelist Brian McBride. He preached about the guarantees of God. We really enjoyed our time with our feet in the sawdust. Here is a link to WGCR you can listen to the camp meeting on this radio station live. I have listened to this station online for several years. They play good music.

We went to the North Carolina mountains yesterday to visit some family we haven't seen in a while. It is always good to go back home and the mountains are so beautiful and green this time of year. I lost my dear aunt in December, so it was sad not to be able to visit with her but I know she is in a better place and I know she isn't sick anymore.

Wade's Mom seems to be improving somewhat, thank you for your comments and prayers about her.

I hope everyone enjoys their fourth of July. We are going to a our neighborhood Block party for some fun fellowship and good food and fireworks. I found this interesting article about what our presidents did on the fourth of July and being teacher minded and a lover of history I thought some of you would enjoy reading this. I hope we all will remember why we live in "The Land the Free and the Home of the Brave" God Bless those who have played a part in keeping our country safe and free. Have a great fourth of July. (((Hugs))))

Happy 4th of July! I'm glad you're all enjoying your summer. We're slowing down gradually.
My sweetie and I plan to visit the NC mountains in a few weeks, too! Love that place.
I hope you have a great week-end.
Blessings,
Karen
