The Greek Festival

Greek Children Dancing~

As you can see for the above photo's we had a fun busy weekend. We celebrated Wade's birthday and went to our local Greek festival.
On Saturday we went to the annual International Festival which we all enjoy. China was the featured country this year, last year's featured country was Germany. Each country has a tent set up with things there pertaining to that country's culture. Then there was dancing from children from all the different countries. The food court with foods represented from each country. Oh the smells were just heavenly.
The funnel cake is our family favorite and let me tell you these French folks know how to make one delicious funnel cake. We enjoyed both these festival.

After the festival we proceeded to BMW day at Carowinds. Paramount no longer owns Carowinds. I have to say It seems to have gone down hill some what as far the rides not up and running. But we were able to ride all the rides we wanted since the park is closed to the general public the lines were not as long thank goodness. The weather was just right for the day and we had a great day.

I hope everyone is having a good week. School is going well here. Holly seems to have taken right off with her Physics and Precalculus. Economics is her favorite subject so far this semester. Katie is doing really good in Algebra and showing much improvement in her writing skills. Katie likes Physical science and World history.I am so thankful for the ability we have to Homeschool. Thanks for dropping in. God Bless you.

Hi Lisa!
So glad you stopped in for a visit. I am so familiar with homeschool-talk. We homeschooled our son all the way through. He just graduated in June. Very hard adjustment for me. He got a job, and still lives at home and LOVES being here. So God has been merciful to me!!
Your blog is so pretty-I love those colors.
Love, Debra

Hi, It looks like everybody had a great time. I like the bagpipes so I probably would have liked it a lot. You have some pretty girls. Do they look like you or Wade? I think they look like you but it's hard to tell from pictures. I'm glad your weekend was happy and safe....k

Mmmmmm....funnel cakes are a favorite here, too. We just had a Greek festival here locally a few weeks ago, but weren't able to go. We've been invited to our first Greek wedding in November, and cannot wait!
Loved the Carowinds signs, brings back good memories.
Have a wonderful week-end!
Blessings,
Karen
