On a friends pier in Maryland

Well we made it back later Saturday. Thank you to all who prayed for us. We had a wonderful trip. We saw many beautiful sites from South Carolina into North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC. Wade got to spend a little time with his father and we visited with his step mother in the nursing home.

The girl's had a fun trip. After cleaning their Grandfathers apartment they were ready for some fun. We have taken them many places in their younger life and they don't remember most of them, so we are trying to retrace our foot steps. They spent several hours alone with their friends Rachel and Elsie and their family whom are old order Mennonites. Then on Friday they took the girl's around their community and introduced them to family and friends. They met their teacher and she invited them into the school. They were elated to say the least! We treated the girl's to a McDonald's picnic lunch at their church. These are some the sweetest decent people. I know my girl's will cherish these memories forever. We also visited some with that family who have become very dear to us.

We have toured this and the other museums several times before but new exhibits are always being added or updated like the flag that the National anthem got it's name for.We drove around Washington which is always a beautiful city to tour.We stopped on the way to look around at George Washington's birth place. We also stopped by Colonial Williamsburg on the way home.WE had taken the girl's here when they were much younger and they remembered very little but we always love Williamsburg.

I know I missed lots of things but I'm sure the girl's will post about their trip as well. We had a really good trip.I hope each of you had a great

Thanksgiving and are getting into the Christmas spirit. We decorated yesterday, so it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas around our house.

I hope your all well. Thanks for stopping by. Hugs, Lisa

Something is weird with my computer! I can't see the writing on your post. When I look real close it barely shows a light gold but I can't read it. :( I enjoyed the pictures though!
