The Love Of God~

The Love of God
Frederick M. Lehman, 1917

The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.
Refrain:
Oh, love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure—
The saints’ and angels’ song.
When hoary time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
When men who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call,
God’s love so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race—
The saints’ and angels’ song.
Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

This is one of my most favorite songs. I just get so much peace and joy from the words of the beautiful song. I am so glad I worship a "Living" God whose love shall forever more endure.Even in these hard economic times God's Love will endure and it knows no boundaries.I pray for my neighbors, friends and family whom have lost their jobs. We must pray one for another and help each other when we can.God's love knows no end.
I'm thankful tonight that my Husband still has a job and we have a warm home and food on our table.I grew up with very Little material things but we never went to bed hungry and we had lots of love for each other so I know how to get by when times are tough. I pray God will provide for those who don't have what they need. I hope all my dear Blogging friends and family are doing well. Love & Hugs. Lisa

I too am very thankful for my job and my husbands job. I have people come into the office where I work, looking for a job. I feel for them and try to help them look. God is good all the time and he provides for all of my needs.
Love ya,
Judy
