RoseBud Potential

Hello and I am so sorry I have not posted lately. We have really been busy with school and everyday life in our house. I hope you all are well. We had frost here this morning. I love the cooler weather myself. My dear neighbor was discarding a couple of rose bushes and asked me would I like to have them, the bushes look somewhat like the photo above but the color is light pink. I our course said yes I would take them, even though I do not know much about roses and they look like they may die soon I graciously excepted and started digging holes to plant the roses. I waited and one finally got some buds and the other one bloomed beautifully. I planted them in different places. I of course paid more attention to the rose bush that was blooming. I have learned from many years experience in gardening to purchase plants that have more buds than blooms.Don't look at at a full blossom. Look at how many healthy new rosebuds that are starting to form. That brings we to the subject of my post. When our Lord chose his apostles he to selected men who were not perfect. Some of God's chosen had shady pasts and bad tempers but Jesus looked beyond their pasts to their potential. Jesus uses that same approach with us. He loves us so much that He chose us despite our imperfections.Through the Holy spirits work in our lives,He nurtures and transforms us into His glorious image. I remind my self as well as my children not to focus on peoples imperfections but look for something good in everyone and I really do try to do this each and every day and in our society today it seems to get harder to do this because people are so Sin sick and cold and just plain old mean, they make it hard to see good in them. But remind yourself not to see all bad like Or Lord did his chosen men but look for the good, Look for that ROSEBUD POTENTIAL!

God, help us see in those we meet

ISAIAH 35:1 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice and Blossom as the ROSE!

I really hope someone gets a blessing from this post I did. God is so Good! He will provide your every need if you will allow him to. I appreciate each one taking the time to land at my place and leave a comment.

I really like roses. And they are not hard to grow, like most people think. They are quite forgiving and very strong.

Enjoy!

Lisa,
I love your analogy! Those roses look a little like the ones my mother had growing on the fence posts all down the driveway.
I also am glad to see your picture! It's nice to put a face with your name. A very pretty face, too!
Blessings,
Karen
