Christmas Traditions

I thought I would share some of our Christmas Traditions. We bake and love to decorate Christmas cookies . We always did the gingerbread men when the girl's were little. The girls always had their visit from Santa on Christmas day.Sometimes now since they are older we open gifts on Christmas eve.We try and make every ones favorite candy, cookie, cake etc during the Holiday. I remember stockings on my pillow that my Mom had stuffed for my sister and I, my grandmother fixing big meals for us all to eat because it was so Important for us to be together. I miss her so much at Christmas. But I have her smile in my heart and that is where it always will be!

We usually add some new recipes each Year. Katie the Peppermint bark it is so good.We will for sure make this one again. Holly made her Dad's favorite chocolate covered mound balls. They turned out really good. She shares the recipe on their blog. I love the smells of Christmas. I love the company of my husband during the holidays. I enjoy being in the kitchen with my girls. We enjoy visiting Family and friends but most of all celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ is what Christmas is all about. I hope to share more recipes. Enjoy your time with your family and make many traditions. We are but a vapor and our time here goes so quickly. Spend it loving giving and sharing.

Hi Lisa,
I wanted to thank you for your sweet comments on my post about Daddy. He was very special.
I made peppermint bark last year for the first time, and I love it! I, however, am the only one in my house that does! LOL! We do cookies when the girls and I are all together, which is looking like it won't be til next week. It's a tradition we've had a hard time keeping the past few years, as time restraints keep us from getting together at the same time to actually make cookies. I've been attempting to do a little cookie/goodies making this week, but it's been slow going.
I pray you and your sweet family have a wonderfully blessed Christmas!

I love your Christmas traditions! We love to cook, too.

I made Peppermint Bark last year with my girls and we shared it with all the neighbors. We loved it. We'll be doing it again this year along with many other cookie and candy recipes that I will share.

That was such a sweet post and reminded me of the really important parts of the Christmas season.
