No Greater Love

Is God's love more valuable to you than silver or gold or any other possession? He he sent his only begotten Son into the world, that(you) might live through Him. He did that because he loves you, not because you loved him.And because of His love, one day you will be with him in heaven. There is no greater love!

(1 John 4:9 )
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten son into the world that we might live through Him.

(John 3:16)
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should no perish but have everlasting life.

(Romans 5:8)
But God commendeth his love toward us,in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Love sent my Savior to die in my stead,
Why should He love me so?
Meekly to Calvary's cross He was lead,
Why should He love me so?

What a thought to ponder.I really don't understand why God loves us so, except He is the God of love! I am so glad he does love me.I really enjoyed these scriptures and I hope you get a blessing from them as well.I hope everyone has a beautiful weekend. This pollen is getting to all of us here but we still get outside. The girl's are anxious to get their summer flower gardens started. I have been weeding some and trying to figure out what summer flowers to plant. I think it would be wise to plant flowers that are drought resistant.I hope we do not have a dry summer like last year but you never know. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

I am so glad that God loved me enough to send His Son to save me from myself....
Spring is such a wonderful time of renewal and starting fresh...
Just as we started fresh when we accepted Jesus into our hearts.
this post is a wonderful reminder of God's Love for us..
thanks Lisa,

Those verses I have seen a lot through the years when I helped out in the Awana program at the last church that I attended. Great verses. It is amazing how God loves us so and we can be rotten people at times. Thank God there is forgiveness. Enjoy your day!

What precious Truth!
I am so thankful He loved me so, too!

I can relate to the pollen. We've been dealing with that this month, too. You know it's going to be a rough day when you look out and see that your van is covered in a green dust. ;o)

Hope you enjoy your weekend.

What a wonderful post! I'm glad that God loves me even when it feels like no one else does. He is always there.

I haven't done any planting yet. We are supposed to have FROST next week! It has been so hot (high 70's) and now we will need the heat for a few days.

I did plant drought tolerant things last year and they are already budding again this year. I'm trying only to plant new perennials each year, instead of annuals. This year, I'm also trying some flower seeds. We'll see how that goes.

Have a wonderful weekend!

I saw this on someone else's page today "Jesus died so that He wouldn't have to live forever without you" and immediately thought of it when I read your post. It is so hard to comprehend such a love....especially for me.......

I want to get a small, summer garden started. Guess I'll have to wait until next week after I see what the weather is going to do.
